The legend of Trae Young continues to grow. The Sooner, who leads the nation in scoring, took down an impressive Big 12 mark.

Young had 26 points and 22 assists. The 22 assists breaks Doug Gottlieb’s Big 12 record of 18 in a game. 22 ties the NCAA record for assists in a single game.

Oklahoma was balanced in their win over Northwestern State, 105-68.

Young led the Sooners, but freshman counterpart Brady Manek poured in a career high 22 to help Young’s cause. Kameron McGusty added 15 off the bench. Christian James had 13.

Oklahoma now faces Northwestern before they open Big 12 play.
