USGS: 3.0 earthquake recorded in northwestern Oklahoma

TOGO, Okla. – Residents in northwestern Oklahoma may have felt some shaking during the early-morning hours on Monday.

At approximately 1:42 a.m., the USGS recorded a 3.0 earthquake in Major County.

The epicenter of the earthquake was about 3.0 miles north of Togo, Oklahoma and 34 miles east of Woodward, Oklahoma.

Locals in surrounding areas may have felt shaking as well.
