Police: Man in critical condition after wife allegedly hit him with car
CHOCTAW, Okla. – A man is fighting for his life after his wife allegedly hit him with a car.
Around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night, emergency crews were called to a possible hit-and-run near NE 36th and Choctaw Rd.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found 39-year-old Troy Dale Shrader in the garage of a home. Investigators say Shrader had been hit and was pinned between a parked vehicle and a vehicle that was driven by his wife, 39-year-old Jennifer Brooke Pearce.
Authorities allege that Pearce drove to the home and began ramming her vehicle into another vehicle in the driveway. When Shrader came outside, police believe Pearce hit him with her car.
At this point, investigators are still trying to determine if Shrader was hit intentionally.
Shrader was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition with life threatening injuries. At last check, he was being taken into surgery.
Police say Pearce was booked into the Oklahoma County Jail on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon and causing a serious injury accident while intoxicated.
