    SHAWNEE, Okla. – One person is dead following a shooting in Shawnee. It happened around 11:38 p.m. Tuesday night at the Linden Apartments near S Kennedy St. and W Farrall.   • OHP Trooper dies after being hit during chase

    MOORE, Okla. — Lieutenant Heath Meyer has died more than a week after he was injured while responding to a high speed chase that ended in Moore. Meyer was hit by a fellow trooper while putting out stop sticks on July 14th. The accident left him critically injured. Meyer graduated from the OHP Academy in 2005.     Oklahoma City, Okla. — Fire crews are currently battling a 2-alarm fire near Northwest 40th and Lincoln. Officials say it’s the Alpha and Omega Mortuary service building at 4040 North Stiles Ave. They say it’s a defensive fire as they worked to cut off the natural gas after a gas meter caught fire.
