BLACKWELL, Okla. – Officials have lifted the water boil for certain areas of rural Blackwell Tuesday after E. coli was found days ago.

According to the Blackwell Rural Water Corporation, the boil advisory has been lifted for the north and west distribution systems, however it remains in effect for the east system.

If you are still under the advisory, authorities said you must boil the water for at least one minute before drinking it, using it to brush teeth or watch infants.
