Philadelphia schools install condom dispensers to combat STD “epidemic”

PHILADELPHIA – Many of Philadelphia’s high schools will now be supplying free condoms to students in an effort to combat what they said is an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases. 

According to the Huffington Post and Philadelphia Inquirer, 22 schools will have condom dispensers in the nurses’ offices.

They said 12 schools already offer the prophylactics. 

Schools said they are trying to increase access because teens make up 25 percent of new HIV infections. 

Is this the right move?
