Searching for the medical miracle to cure a hangover?

It might be in your fridge right now; Sprite.

According to Yahoo, Chinese researchers at Sun Yat-Sen University in Guangzhou found the lemon-lime soda worked best after testing almost 60 different drinks.

Researchers said the negative effects of drinking alcohol are thought to be caused by the body trying to break down the drink.

The researchers tested everything from herbal infusions and teas to carbonated drinks.

They found soda water scored high in hangover help as well.

The study shows some herbal teas actually slowed down the break down process, prolonging a hangover.

Yahoo reported the best beverages were Xue bi, the Chinese version of Sprite, as well as soda water, which were found to speed the enzyme’s process, shortening the body’s exposure.

The research team said further study is needed to fully support the evidence.
