OKLAHOMA CITY - Police are calling a man's death 'suspicious' after his body was found outside a southeast Oklahoma City home.

Just after 8 a.m. on Thursday, paramedics were called to a home near S.E. 40th St. and Shields Blvd.

Once at the home, they made a gruesome discovery before any officers arrived at the scene.

"EMSA arrived and found one subject shot here," said Lt. Alan Burgett, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.

The victim is identified as Ian Dickson.

Authorities say they do not know if Dickson was shot by someone else or if he accidentally shot himself.

"At this time, we have no idea what led to the shooting," said Burgett.

Several people who appeared to live in the home were taken in for questioning, but no arrests have been made.

"We have no one under arrest at this time and no suspect information either. The investigation is ongoing," said Burgett.

Police say the case has not been ruled a homicide; they'll leave that up to the medical examiner.

Anyone with information on the case is still asked to contact the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
