OKLAHOMA CITY – It’s almost time for St. Baldrick’s 2016 and it is gonna be a great one this year!

The St. Baldrick’s Foundation is a national charity dedicated to funding childhood cancer research.

It’s Sunday April 3rd and is hosted by Beck’s Garage and VZD’s on 42nd and N. Western.

The registration starts at 12 PM and the shaving begins at 1 PM.

This year’s event is being hosted by KFOR’s Kristen Shanahan and Ashley Kringen.

The organization’s signature events ask that fundraising volunteers shave their heads in solidarity with children undergoing treatment.

Katelynn Martin, 11, stopped by NewsChannel 4 Thursday in anticipation of the event and had her head shaved on live TV.

Katelynn lost her little brother, Blake, after a fight against Leukemia last year.

Watch the video below to see Katelynn shave her head and to hear how St. Baldrick’s inspired her.
