16-month-old Oklahoma boy passes away after being pulled from swimming pool

A 16-month-old child who was pulled from a swimming pool over the weekend has died.

YUKON, Okla. – A 16-month-old child who was pulled from a swimming pool over the weekend has died.

On Saturday, a child was found in a pool near S.W. 18th and South Morgan Rd. around 2:30 p.m.

Fire crews believe the child wandered into the pool while the mother was in the bathroom.

Emergency crews at the scene performed CPR as soon as the child was pulled out of the pool.

The young boy was transported to a local hospital, where he passed away three days later.

“16-month-old Mr. Lincoln Stottlemyre passed away on 06/07/2016,” the medical examiner’s office said in a statement to KFOR.

No other information has been released at this time.
