MCLOUD, Okla. - Police in McLoud say a teenage boy has died after being shot by his older brother in a home.
"The shooter was apparently his older brother and an altercation had occurred at the house involving the mother and the two sons," said McLoud Police Chief Tom Pringle.
Pringle said that they got a call about a disturbance and thought everything was settled. Officers were called back to the home about 6:45 a.m. Thursday.
Pringle says a 17-year-old boy, identified as Raydon French, was shot twice in the chest with a small-caliber gun and that the teen later died at a hospital.
As far as right now, investigators don't have a motive.
"We dont really know, at least, I don't know at this time. That's something that we're looking," said Pringle.
The case is being investigated as a homicide.
Pringle said the alleged shooter and the mother are being interviewed by the Pottawatomie County District Attorney Task Force.
Thursday evening, officials said everyone had been released.
No arrests have been made at this time.
