3.1 magnitude earthquake recorded near Lamont, USGS says

LAMONT, Okla. (KFOR) – Residents in one Oklahoma community may have felt the ground rattle on Tuesday morning.

At 5:03 a.m., the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 3.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded near the town of Lamont.

Officials say the epicenter was located about 5.8 miles west of Lamont, and 24.3 miles north/northeast of Enid.

There have been no reports of any damage.
