OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man was arrested after officers say a fear of spiders ultimately linked him to a crime.
Security officers were patrolling an apartment complex in the 5600 block of N.W. 23rd St. when they heard a man screaming outside one of the buildings.
When they reached the building, they found 32-year-old Quincy Hill,
Security officers asked Hill what was wrong, and he said he screamed “because a spider was on him.”
At that point, the security guards noticed several bulges in Hill’s pockets and asked to search him.
According to the arrest affidavit, they found several Social Security cards, ID’s, driver’s licenses and credit cards.
When Oklahoma City police officers arrived, they learned that several of the items had been reported stolen.
Hill told officers that he found all of the items in the trash.
Hill was arrested on two counts of receiving and concealing stolen property.
