PIERRE PART, La. – Surveillance cameras are often used to catch criminals in the act, but one family’s surveillance camera captured a sweet moment between a little boy and a dog.

Cameras at Hollie Mallet’s home were rolling when an adorable trespasser dropped his bike and came sprinting into her garage.

The boy ran straight for Mallet’s dog and gave the pet a hug before running back to his bike.

Mallet was touched by the boy’s kindness toward the dog and decided to post the sweet video on Facebook.

“Attn Neighbors! Anyone know who this sweet little boy is? Every now and then when he rides his bike he will quickly come and love on my dog or play fetch real quick, but always leaves quick like he doesn’t know if he should be here! I’d like to tell him he’s welcome to stay and play, she loves the attention!” she posted.

Soon enough, the culprit was identified as a boy named Josh when his mother spotted the video on Facebook.

“Ok so… Yes, this is Josh. And I’m torn with my heart melting that he adores dogs so much AND with feeling upset that his little booty shouldn’t be going on someone’s property without permission or without me knowing,” Ginger Breaux posted.

Fortunately, the little guy didn’t get in too much trouble and had no idea that he was caught on camera.

Breaux says that Josh’s dog, Bella, passed away last year and they simply don’t have time for a dog right now.

However, she says they hope to get another dog soon.
