OKLAHOMA CITY – A mother is accused of an unimaginable crime.

Police say she stabbed her boyfriend and her two children.   Now, they say they are trying to figure out what provoked Raven Veloz to commit the crime.

A busted door and concrete stained with blood are just two signs that something terrible happened at an apartment at Cambridge Landing.

Police got a 911 call around 12:30 Monday morning.

“When officers arrived, they located a 28-year-old male victim with stab wounds,” said Megan Morgan, with the  Oklahoma City Police Department.

Family members tell us that man is Sergio Garcia.

Police say when they arrived at the apartment, he pointed toward the door. Once inside, police say they found two children and their mother with stab wounds. They believe the mother, 21-year-old Raven Veloz stabbed Sergio Garcia, their 8-month-old son Ezekiel Veloz, and her 4-year-old daughter Sophia.

Authorities say she then stabbed herself several times.

“The 28-year-old is in stable condition as well as the suspect,” said Morgan.

All the victims were rushed to the hospital.  Tragically, 8-month-old Ezekiel didn’t make it.

Police say he died in the apartment.

Sergio’s brother, Victor, told us the attack doesn’t surprise him.

“She’s done this before but my bother never put charges on her because he didn’t want the kids not to have a mom. All he does is everything for those kids,” said Victor Garcia.

He said Sergio’s kids are his world.

“He has so much love for each of them. All he tries to do is protect them,” said Victor Garcia.

Police say Raven Veloz is being treated at the hospital but is under arrest facing one charge of first-degree murder and two count of assault with a deadly weapon.

Neighbor Sean Peters was awake when it happened.

“That’s just insane to think about. I mean, what could push you over the edge that far that you would be willing to kill your whole family? It’s definitely crazy to think about,” said Peters.

Police are still investigating what might have led to the tragedy. We do know Raven Veloz and Sergio Garcia recently lost a child.

The two set up a GoFundMe account to help pay for the funeral of their 2-year-old child Aubree, who died in January. The post from Raven says the little girl died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

At last check, the 4-year-old victim is in critical condition.

There is also a GoFundMe account set up to help pay for funeral costs for Ezekiel.
