OKLAHOMA CITY - A man known as the “Western Avenue Burglar” allegedly struck again.

Last week, the man was allegedly seen stealing cash from at least two local businesses on surveillance video.

Now, another business says they have him on camera.

In a store full of unique finds, an alleged thief was only after a cell phone.

Surveillance video inside Willow and Whale has a man on camera for just under 20 minutes.

He appeared to be browsing the store at first, then the camera above the cash register catches him trying to take the owner’s cell phone.

He hesitated and acted like he was looking at a pillow.

Then, a few minutes later, he grabbed the phone.

Steve Sturges’ wife, Kelly, owns the store.

She was helping another customer in the back of the store when the theft happened.

“This guy, he seems to be going up and down Western Avenue, just walking into stores and taking what’s not his,” Sturges said.

The suspect looks a lot like the alleged thief who stole from the Savory Spice Shop last week.

We’re told that thief got away with $160 in cash.

The owners of Bebe’s in Nichols Hills also recognized the man.

They think he’s the same person who robbed them, stealing hundreds of dollars from their register.

“No store on Western Avenue, no store in Oklahoma City, no store anywhere should have to deal with somebody like this,” Sturges said.

Western Avenue is home to some of the most expensive stores in the metro.

Now, retailers there are on alert, hoping the alleged thief doesn’t walk through their doors.

“While he may seem harmless, it doesn’t necessarily mean he is harmless,” Sturges said.

If you recognize the man in the video, call Nichols Hills police or Oklahoma City police.
