MUSTANG, Okla.  –  The lights are back on for more than 1,000 people in the OKC metro lost power overnight after another driver crashed into a power pole.

It happened just before 1 a.m. Monday on Highway 152 at Pine Terrace in Mustang, Okla.

Police say the driver fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into a power pole in front of the Bronco Stop Gas Statino.

The driver was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

Oklahoma Electric Co-Op was called out to repair the power problem.

Residents in the area were without power for a few hours.
