TAHLEQUAH, Okla.- New motions were filed in the custody case for Baby Veronica.

Angel Smith, an attorney acting on behalf of the child, requested a stay of visitation until after a court hearing on the matter.

That stay of visitation would keep the Capobiancos from seeing Veronica.

Smith was granted appointment as Veronica’s attorney Monday but the Capobiancos filed a motion to toss out the appointment and Smith’s motion to take legal action for an individual who cannot make decisions on their own.

In addition to the motions, Special Judge Holli Wells also filed a motion to remove herself from the case.
