TULSA, Okla – According to KJRH, Tulsa police say a man’s body was pulled from the Arkansas river Sunday morning.

Police say a person was eating at Riverparks near 21st and Riverside when he saw what appeared to be a body in the river around 10 a.m.

Crews responded to the scene and recovered the body of a white male.

Police say last night around 9 p.m. they were performing a standard traffic stop near 17th and Jackson, when the man driving the car fled the scene on foot.

Police took after him, they say. They lost the man near the amphitheater.

Police say they think the body found in the river is the same man who was involved in the pursuit last night.

The case is still under investigation.
