Pedestrian struck, killed by train in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY – Authorities in Oklahoma City are investigating an accident involving a train and a pedestrian.

Shortly before 5 p.m., emergency crews were called to the train tracks near Britton Rd. and Western Ave. on an accident.

Officials confirm that one person died after being hit by the train in Oklahoma City.

The intersections near N.W. Britton and Western are closed. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and find an alternate route while investigators clear the scene.

No word on when those roadways will open.
