POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY, Okla. – Authorities in Pottawatomie County say they have taken a man into custody following a brief search.

Wednesday morning, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a suspicious vehicle near Sharon Rd. and Waco Rd. near Tecumseh Lake.

Authorities say they received reports a white male who is approximately 5’10”, 190-200 lbs, wearing a black shirt and shoes was spotted walking in the area.

The caller told the sheriff’s office the man appeared to have blood on his face. His arms and chest were also covered in mud.

When officers arrived to the scene, the man ran into a nearby wooded area.

After a brief search, authorities located the man and took him into custody.

Although the sheriff’s department has not identified the man at this time, officials did confirm the man is not Michael Vance.
