Bank branch in Wal-Mart robbed

FBI announces the robbery of the Arvest Bank branch located inside Wal-Mart at 7800 N.W. Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK.

At approximately 12:10 p.m. today, a black male approached the teller counter at the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money.

The subject told the teller to give him all her money and nobody would be hurt.

The teller complied and the subject place an undisclosed amount of money in a tan plastic grocery bag.

The subject was last seen departing the Wal-Mart on foot. No weapon was seen and no one was hurt in today’s robbery.

The subject is described as a black male, late 20’s, early 30’s, 5’7 – 5’10”, 190 lbs., wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with white emblems on the sleeves, and sunglasses.

Although the attached surveillance photo does not give a clear view of subject’s face, the red sweatshirt he is wearing is very distinctive and may be recognized by someone.

Callers may remain anonymous.

The Oklahoma Bankers Association offers a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individual responsible for robbing a member bank.
