KENTUCKY – A Kentucky Baptist church is using food, fellowship, and a gun giveaway to spread their message.

At “The Second Amendment Celebration and Dinner” people got a free steak and a chance to win a free gun.

The pastor says the idea of the night is for families to have fun, eat and have a chance to take one of 25 guns home.

Critics on the other hand say the event is nothing more than a bribery.

“We’ll reach a different kind of clientele for an event like this than we do with a good giveaway at Christmas time.”

No one left the dinner with a gun in their possession.

Winners who received a gun, had to take a voucher to a gun store.

They will have to complete state and federal applications and pass the background checks before they’re actually awarded a firearm.
