Bicyclist in critical condition after being hit by Oklahoma City police officer’s vehicle

Update: The bicyclist died from his injuries Friday night.

OKLAHOMA CITY – A bicyclist is in critical condition after being hit by an Oklahoma City police officer’s patrol vehicle.

It happened at around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near Hefner and Dorothy Drive.

According to Oklahoma City, Officer Gary Price was traveling westbound in the outside lane of Hefner Rd. near Dorothy Drive when he hit a bicyclist.

The bicyclist, 47-year-old Max Krause, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Officer Price was not injured.

Police say the accident is still under investigation.

Price has been placed on paid administrative leave.
