OKLAHOMA CITY– A local child care center is hosting a free event for families to make sure their little ones are as safe as can be inside a car.

Childtime is hosting “Childtime’s Big Event” on Saturday, June 15 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers say there will be face painting, giveaways, car seat inspections, a course on safe sleeping and other activities available throughout the afternoon.

The Cribs and Car Seat Foundation of Oklahoma will also be giving away free pack-and-plays to families that complete the 30 minute safe sleep course.

The center will also host a children’s art gallery for little ones to display their artwork.

Some vendors that will be at the event include OKCsmiles, Oklahoma SCORE program and the Cribs and Car seat Foundation of Oklahoma.

Childtime is located at 8805 S. May Ave. in Oklahoma City.
