Blue Bell Ice Cream has taken to social media to thank customers during this challenging time for the company.

Blue Bell is in the midst of dealing with listeria contamination at three of its facilities.

The company rebooted its Twitter account Tuesday with the user name @ILoveBlueBell.

They also posted a video featuring longtime employees to the online video site Vimeo.

In it, employees talk about their love for the company.

“Some people say you shouldn’t take it personal, but I take it personal because I have a heart for the company I work for,” says a 34-year employee of the company.

“We’ll be a better company after this, but it still hurts my heart to see the company going through this period of time,” says another employee.

“We try to help each other out and try to do what we need to do to keep things going, to keep things clean, so we can make the best product in the USA.”

Blue Bell is planning on implementing “an intensive cleaning program while it simultaneously conducts a new training program for its employees at all four production facilities with locations in Alabama, Oklahoma and Texas,” according to a press release.

The company has experienced an outpouring of love and support on Twitter. Users are posting with the hashtags #bluebellstrong and #bluebellproud.
