OKLAHOMA CITY -- Friday, June 19, 2015 was the last time KFOR Sports Director Bob Barry, Jr. got to do one of the things he loved, anchor a sports broadcast. Little did any of us know it would be his final one.

It was done in fine BBJ fashion as he made some jokes, gave us a smile and plenty of sports coverage. We could always count on him entertaining and informing us.

Bobby talked about musician Carole King having her first number one hit on the same date 44 years ago, as he sings and dances to the song.

"I feel the earth move under my feet, I feel the sky tumblin' down."

He reports on golf, making it seem like the most exciting sport on earth.

But that was just the way BBJ reported and lived...his beaming personality shined through in everything he did, with a lot of fun and a ton of sports.

He also mentions KFOR's Kevin Ogle and his own brother, Frank Barry, who is "fantastic on the skins" as he beats on his own air drums.

Another indication of how he treasured his friends and family.
