CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. — Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office detectives are investigating a man’s death after his body was discovered near a grass fire Saturday afternoon.

Norman and Little Axe firefighters were notified about the grass fire at 2:02 p.m. Saturday near 192nd SE and Alameda, according to a press release.

The statement says fire crews found the body as they were extinguishing the blaze in the 20000 block of Alameda Street.

Firefighters say they notified the sheriff’s office about the discovery at 2:37 p.m. Saturday. The State Fire Marshal’s Office and Medical Examiner’s Office were also called to the scene.
