ATOKA, Okla. – Many residents in southern Oklahoma are cleaning up the mess left behind by Mother Nature earlier this week when tornadoes tore through the area.

Now, one organization is asking for a helping hand.

The Boy Scouts of America say Camp Simpson, in the Atoka area, was damaged when a tornado touched down nearby.

The camp suffered roof and tree damage to several buildings. Also, rangers say there are hundreds of trees down in the campground.

The organization is asking for volunteers to help clean up the mess.

If you can help, call the Council Service Center at (580) 223-0831.
