Bridge lanes closed after hole found

NORMAN, Okla. – Authorities have closed part of a bridge in Norman after finding a hole in it Sunday. 

Norman officers discovered the hole in the eastbound Main St. bridge over I-35. 

The outside right lane of southbound I-35 and the outside right lane eastbound Main St. have been closed to traffic. 

One lane is open in each direction. 

At this time westbound Main St. and northbound I-35 have not been altered.

Repairs to the structure are ongoing.

Norman Police, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, City of Norman Street Department, and Oklahoma Department of Transportation are all working to resolve the problem and ask motorists to avoid the area Monday morning.
