TREMONT, N.Y. – An 86-year-old woman who was robbed outside of her Bronx apartment says the woman who snatched her purse messed with the wrong woman.

“She wanted to hurt me, and the b*tch don’t even know me!” Bernice Starnes told PIX11 News.

Bernice Starnes was sitting in her wheelchair outside her apartment Sunday afternoon when a woman swiped her purse, KFOR sister station WPIX reports.

“I couldn’t catch her,” Starnes said. “I wanted to catch her and beat the sh*t out of her.”

The alleged purse snatcher was captured on surveillance video and quickly identified.

Adrianne Terry, 37, was arrested Tuesday and charged with grand larceny and petit larceny.

“I hope that they beat her ass. Some of the women in prison beat her ass everyday for as long as she’s in there,” Starnes said.

After hearing about what happened to Starnes, officers in the community pooled their own money together and donated it to Starnes, who was reduced to tears when she received it.

The 86-year-old says she plans to be at Terry’s arraignment.
