Bulletproof backpack sales soar after CT shooting

SALT LAKE CITY – A Utah company that makes bulletproof backpacks and child-sized body armor can’t keep up with their orders after the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. 

Amendment II started selling their lightweight armor, “Ryno-Hide,” to the military and law enforcement a few years. 

More recently, they have been putting sheets of armor in children’s backpacks
