OKLAHOMA CITY — There was open fire between a police officer and a burglary suspect early Sunday morning.

Police say they were investigating an armed robbery around 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

The robbery victim said their car had been stolen.

A couple of hours later, around 3:30 a.m., officers stopped a car that matched the description of the stolen car near N.E. 36th and Kelley.

The suspects took off and bailed out of the car, reports say.

Police arrested one of the suspects. The other suspect took off running and was involved in the shooting with the officer.

The suspect was reportedly injured. No word on their condition.

Officials say the officer was not hurt in the incident.
