Crews working to contain gas leak in NW Oklahoma City

OKLAHOMA CITY –  Crews are working to contain a gas leak in northwest Oklahoma City.

Initial reports indicate workers cut a gas line near NW 15th Street and May Ave. Wednesday morning just after 9 a.m. while they were installing a sidewalk.

Officials evacuated the area around the gas leak until they could cap the leak.

Businesses in the area are sheltering in place.

Oklahoma Natural Gas has been called the to scene.
