ENID, Okla. – An Oklahoma sex offender has been arrested for violating the sex offender registry rules and guidelines.

According to Enid Police 29-year-old Anthony David Jordan violated registry rules and was arrested Thursday morning.

Police received a tip that Jordan was no longer living at the residence he was registered at.

After checking into the information, Enid officers found that Jordan was living within a 2000 foot radius of La Mesa Park – therefore sex offenders are prohibited from living there.

Officers say they then made contact with Jordan at his apartment, where he was subsequently arrested for failure to register as a sex offender, and living within a 2000 foot radius of a park.

Jordan’s roommate confirmed that Jordan had been living there for about six months.

The apartment complex reportedly had no knowledge of a sex offender living there.

Jordan was convicted of lewd or indecent proposals/acts to a child in Enid, Oklahoma on August 14, 2008.

Jordan is being held at the Garfield County detention facility without bond.
