WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Leah Nelson is only 10-year-old but has been disturbed by the recent events across the country.

As a result, she decided to do something.

The 10-year-old started the "Becuz I Care" program, which encourages people to show kindness to each other.

Nelson loves creating bracelets and decided to put her hobby to good use.

"I just want the world to be a better place. I mean, there's many issues and people are mad about the issues. Well, if you're mad about the issues, why don't you take action and try to change them?" she told FOX 40.

She is passing out bracelets, and asking others to do the same when they complete a good deed.

Nelson is asking strangers to do something nice for someone else, whether it be paying a compliment to someone or buying them a coffee.

Then, she wants you to explain the deed with the message, "In a world with so many issues, let's just show other people that they are valued."
