OKLAHOMA CITY – Thomas Cantley, a 31-year-old testicular cancer survivor, will push a six-foot inflatable “testicle” across the country to generate awareness and support for young men’s health issues.

Cantley, who won’t detach the inflatable testicle from his waist during the entire trip, began his trek in Santa Monica, California on September 4.

Cantley is encouraging people to come and find the giant testicle as it rolls through Oklahoma City on September 26 and tell him how they have been ‘Ballsy.’

Other cities on Cantley’s tour include Atlanta, Houston, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville, New York City, Salinas, CA, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Santa Fe, NM, Santa Monica, CA, and Washington, D.C. The cross-country push will be funded by supporters that he meets along his 4,000 mile awareness campaign.

“I want to prove you don’t need billions of dollars or the promise of a cure to make a difference in the fight against cancer,” says Cantley. “I also want to prove community is built on compassion and kindness. As I push the ball across the country I will not have a cent at my disposal. I am relying on the help of strangers I meet along the way.”

At the age of 27, Cantley was diagnosed and treated for stage 3 testicular cancer.  As he was facing the most terrifying period of his life, he felt he had nowhere to turn. Besides Movember, where men grow mustaches to show support for men’s cancers, he felt there were few organizations that were educating young men about their health.

Through BE BALLSY, Cantley has dedicated his life to ensuring that no other young man lets ignorance get in the way of seeking treatment.
