COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – A student at the University of South Carolina is facing charges after she was allegedly recorded tampering with her roommates’ food.
Authorities say 22-year-old Hayley King was arrested and charged with unlawful, malicious tampering with human drug product or food.
In the weeks before her arrest, King’s roommates say they had “multiple altercations” with her and tried to get her to move out.
However, she refused to leave.
Police say the camera captured King spitting in multiple containers of food and sprayed glass cleaner in others.
After watching the video, investigators say King “confessed to the incident.”
If convicted of the felony charge, King could face up to 20 years in prison.
