OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are searching for a pair of armed thieves who robbed a cash advance store last month.

One suspect walked into the store on N.W. 63rd St. with a red folder in one hand and a weapon tucked under his shirt.

“The employees were handed a note saying this is a robbery, give us all your money,” said one witness. “He kept saying, ‘You’ve got 60 seconds to get it done or this will turn bad.”

During the robbery, a second suspect stood around in the background.

“There’s a second suspect serving as a lookout,” said MSgt. Gary Knight, with the Oklahoma City Police Department. “Towards the end of the robbery, a car pulls up and a woman was about to come in.”

“As I pulled in the parking lot, I saw a guy run out the front door,” said the witness.

Police say when that witness arrived at the store, the suspects were likely scared.

They immediately got a bag of cash and then ordered the two employees to the ground.

“I looked over the counter and I see both laying on the floor,” said the witness. “The worker said ‘Who is it?’ I told her my name and she said, ‘We got robbed. Lock the door.'”

During most of the video, a timecode covers the suspect’s face, but police say he did have a weapon under his shirt.

“You never could see whether or not he had a gun, but it looked like he might, so they did the right thing complying with his demands,” said Knight.

“No one deserves to get robbed at their business. Anyone that’ll do that needs to go to jail and is not someone we want walking around the general public,” said the witness.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the robbery.
