OKLAHOMA CITY – Vandals target a metro business, causing thousands of dollars in damage, without taking a step inside.
They struck in the dead of night, but their damage became clear in the daylight.
“Officers were dispatched in reference to several vehicles vandalized,” said Sgt. Ashley Peters, with the Oklahoma City Police Department.
The suspects were spotted on not one, but four cameras outside the business. Their target was ISG Technology, specifically the cars out back.
Car after car, the vandals used some sort of object to scratch the sides and hoods of six cars in the parking lot.
“They’re keying the vehicles with what appears to be some long metal object,” explained Peters. “You can see one of the suspects leaning down on two of the vehicles, actually puncturing the tires with some object.”
The video released by Oklahoma City police shows three people, at least one of which seems to be a juvenile, moving car to car for several minutes.
In the police report, workers explained they had no idea who could have been behind the vandalism, and knew of no disgruntled employees.
Now, six cars need a paint job, two have new tires and three people remain on the run.
“Oklahoma City Police Department is needing your help in identifying the suspects involved,” said Peters.
