TULSA, Okla. (KJRH) – A woman who was accused of helping her husband after he allegedly shot their daughter’s boyfriend will not face any charges.

Gina Kepler was originally arrested for accessory to murder after the fact.

Investigators say 40-year-old Shannon Kepler confronted his daughter’s boyfriend, 19-year-old Jeremy Lake, while the couple was walking.

According to the police report, Kepler and Lake argued before Kepler fired three shots at his daughter and Lake.

Lake was shot and killed, but Kepler’s daughter was not injured.

Kepler and his wife, who are both police officers, turned themselves into authorities hours after the shooting.

According to KJRH, Gina Kepler remains on paid leave from the department.
