CLEVELAND COUNTY, Okla. – Officials in Cleveland County are investigating after a body was found.

Authorities responded to the scene Tuesday in Norman near Griffin Memorial.

The Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office says the body is a white male, possibly in his late 40s, and was found alone, fully clothed, and partially submerged in Bishop’s Creek. He was found by Food and Shelter.

Officials say there were no signs of struggle at the scene and no signs of trauma on the body.

The sheriff’s office says they are handling the investigation because the land is state property.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
