OKLAHOMA CITY – Mother Nature will be giving Oklahoma a special Christmas present this Thursday.

Christmas morning was a little chilly but temperatures warmed up to the upper 50s and lower 60s by Thursday afternoon.

A storm system over the Rocky Mountains brought strong winds across the Plains.

On Christmas night, temperatures will drop to the mid-40s.

However, everything will change by Friday night.

There is a chance for showers across the state on Friday evening, and even a slight chance for snow in the panhandle.

An arctic blast will move into the state on Friday night, dropping temperatures.

On Saturday, highs will stay in the 30s and cooler temperatures will stick around for most of next week.
