Comanche County Commissioners issued a burn ban yesterday amidst the drought.

The burn ban limits outdoor campfires and bonfires. Flammable vegetation must be covered before welding or cutting activities can pursue.

Prescribed burns of agriculture are allowed if all Oklahoma Forestry Service rules are followed.

Propane or other controlled burners are permitted as long as a water pumper is close by if equipment is being used near a grassy area.
