KANSAS CITY – A few anchors at stations across the Midwest probably had to throw out their Thanksgiving leftovers after a man posing as a chef created some ‘unusual’ recipes that ruined their taste buds.

“Chef Keith Guerke” appeared on five morning shows to promote a new cookbook and showcase recipes that put a spin on Thanksgiving leftovers.

Anchors in Wisconsin and Illinois were treated to his creations like a ham, pie and gravy smoothie or a mashed potato ice cream cone with corn sprinkles.

Months later, the producers are learning that he wasn’t really a chef but a comedian.

“Chef Keith Guerke” is really Nick Prueher, a comedian from New York.

He says he got the idea for the prank a few years ago while appearing on different stations to promote his tours.
