EDMOND, Okla. – As Edmond residents start their workweek, officials want you to prepare for detours.

Work to resurface a one mile section of Santa Fe Avenue is slated to begin Monday, June 30th.

The project is expected to be complete on Thursday, July 3rd.

The area of Santa Fe Avenue to be resurfaced is from Covell Road to Coffee Creek Road.

The road will remain open during this time, but motorists should expect traffic to be reduced to one lane with the use of flaggers.

This resurfacing is part of the scheduled 2013 Mill & Overlay projects for the City of Edmond.

Atlas Paving is the contractor for these projects with a total cost of $1,694,588.
