OSAGE COUNTY- A controlled burn turned into a huge fire Saturday.

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office shut down part of highway 11 for about two hours because of the heavy smoke in the area.

Officials say the small, controlled burn quickly got out of hand and started jumping roads.

Volunteer fire crews battled the flames.

The fire did make its way onto Indian trust land — However, deputies say no houses or buildings were damaged.
