Controversial street in Norman renamed

NORMAN – The Norman city council voted Tuesday night to rename Debarr Avenue.

The street was originally named after a former KKK member.

The council voted to rename the street to Deans Row Avenue.

The name change was voted on unanimously and the city will cover the cost of changing the street signs.
