Just days after the news broke that Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert were divorcing, the former couple proves that amicable breakups do happen.

Earlier this week, Shelton and Lambert divorced after four years of marriage.

“This is not the future we envisioned and it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.  We are real people, with real lives, with real family, friends and colleagues.  Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter,” the couple said in a statement.

Fans did not handle the news well, as many took to Twitter to express their grief.

While fans were vocal, Shelton and Lambert were keeping it quiet about the divorce.

On Friday, the pair shared several conversations on social media, which sent fans reeling.
