Holiday Cinnamon Sugar Spiced Pretzels:
1 – 1lb bag mini pretzel twists
2/3 C vegetable oil
2 t ground cinnamon
1/4 t ground allspice
1/2 C sugar (plus 1 T for additional sprinkling)
Preheat oven to 300 degrees and spread pretzels evenly in a large roasting pan.
In a bowl, whisk together oil, cinnamon, allspice and sugar. Pour over pretzels and toss to coat evenly and thoroughly. Bake for 30 minutes, turning/tossing occasionally. Remove from oven, spread on waxed or parchment paper and allow to cool. Add additional kosher salt or sugar if desired. Once cooled, store in airtight container for up to 3 weeks.
Easy Cinnamon Spiced Pecans
3 C pecan halves
3/4 C sugar
1 T ground Cinnamon
1/4 C water.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large skillet, combine sugar, cinnamon and water. Whisk a bit, add pecans. Turn heat to medium/medium low. Stir constantly. The sugar will begin to melt; stir and fold to thoroughly coat the pecans. Cook 5-7 minutes once sugar has melted to toast pecans. Remove from heat; quickly spread evenly on parchment. Allow to cool completely before storing in airtight container.
